Italiane inedite vol. 2, 169-170.
The work remains anonymous
to scholars; it appears to be a late thirteenth- or early fourteenth-century work. DGR's source text was Trucchi's
Italiane inedite (II. 169-170), where it is said to be set for singing in three voices.
For further editorial information see the
commentary for DGR's translation of the ballata.
