Twelfth Night; Or, What You Will

William Fulford and Annie Scott Hill

General Description

Date: 1856
Genre: Prose essay

Scholarly Commentary

Guest Editor: PC Fleming

This is the third of Fulford and Hill’s essays on Shakespeare (see also the essays on Troilus and Timon.) All three essays discuss lesser-known Shakespearean plays, and rely heavily on quotations and summaries of the action of the play. This last essay, unlike the first two, also includes a review of a contemporary performance in Haymarket.
