H. Virtue Tebbs; Sold at Tebbs Sale on March 10, 1900 at Christie's (lot 31) for £504; Purchased by his brother-in-law, John P. Seddon, uncle of Miss H.M. Virtue Tebbs, who presented it to the Ashmolean Museum in 1944.
